최근 어나니머스(Anonymous) 해커그룹이 후난 경찰학원을 포함한 여러 개 중국정부 및 기관 웹사이트를 공격한 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이유는 여전히 홍콩 ‘센트럴 점령’ 사건을 응원하는 취지에서 시작되었으며 2014년에 이어 관련 사건 응원을 위한 2번째 공격이다.
 
현재 수많은 중국정부 홈페이지가 해커들의 DDOS 공격을 받아 액세스가 느리거나 접속이 끊긴 상태이다.

‘AnonymousGlobo’는 공격에 성공한 웹사이트를 후난 경찰학원 공격에 성공했다는 내용과 홍콩 ‘센트럴 점령’ 사건의 시위자들을 체포한 것에 대한 불만을 토로하는 내용으로 변조했다.  
 
하지만 이번 공격에서 해커가 트위터를 통해 @AnonymousGlobo 계정을 신청했기 때문에 사이버수사대에 단서를 남겼으며, 추적 끝에 'AnonymousGlobo' 그룹 5명의 핵심 맴버를 포함한 일부 해커들이 체포된 것으로 알려졌다.
 
홍콩 센트럴은 홍콩의 정치, 상업 중심지이며 홍콩의 상징이다. 홍콩의 일부 급진 반대파가 일으킨 '센트럴 점령' 집회는 중국 전국인민대표대회 상무위원회가 2014년 8월 통과시킨 '전국인민대표대회 상무위원회 홍콩특별행정구 행정장관 보통선거 문제 및 2016년 입법회 구성에 관한 결정'에 항의하기 위해 일어났다.
